We are just getting started as grateful hosts of this gorgeous land. Consider this your invitation to wander with us as we walk this new path and create shared space for joy and connection at FireLoch.

TAKING WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED...
TAKING WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED…

As Founders of the LifeSchoolHouse community (www.lifeschoolhouse.com) we have learned a lot about the social poverty facing our communities. The mental and emotional impacts of social isolation and loneliness are particularly wide-reaching following the COVID-19 pandemic and we all need spaces to rebuild, reconnect, and bridge to new systems. FireLoch will be a permanent space to learn together and to shape a new way forward.

...AND BUILDING SOMETHING NEW!
…AND BUILDING SOMETHING NEW!

We are expanding to offer shared space for private gatherings, public workshops, and retreats for grassroots community leaders and those who need rest, and reconnection and deeper learning.

Your Hosts

Your Hosts at Fireloch

We are the DeCoste family and we welcome you to this place. When you visit you will see that FireLoch is shared space – a place for you to come and engage as well as a place for our children to grow up connected with their community and with nature.

Snowy the dog is our official greeter and Walter the cat will also visit anyone who comes into the parking lot but no matter what they tell you – animals aren’t allowed in the barn or dome 🙂

The Wingspan Fund provides support for rest, retreat and reflective practice for volunteers and contributors to the non-profit and charitable sectors. Our 9-month Fellowship, involving care-centered Retreats and an active community of practice will help us learn about the most effective ways to alleviate burnout among staff and volunteers of the essential community sector. Our intention is to deepen collective understanding of the need for and impact of deep care for community development leaders. Our programming will provide hope and encourage ongoing engagement in this essential sector. We are proud to offer this Fellowship in service of those who make a difference in our community by volunteering and working in nonprofits and charities.
